Hey everyone,
Tommorow I'm heading into NYC to see Les Miserables. I'm wondering if I'm going to be able to take my EDC knives into the theater though. Do they have security checkpoints? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Havent been to the theatre post 9/11 but I used to carry a knife before hand inside... maybe stuff has changed sorry for no info :-/

First of all, I'm upset that they extended Les Mis, since I rushed to get tickets and take my wife in the dead cold of February (scheduled last day was 3/15)!

Don't sweat it, no JBT's or scanners at the door.

Smile at the nice officers on the big horses stationed around town, walk right in, enjoy the show.

I just saw Les Miserables in Seattle a couple weeks ago (WOW! Great show!) carring an auto opener (MT LUDT) and a Glock 27 under my suit and overcoat. There was no security in the least.

I know Seattle isn't NY in its current climate, but I go to 6-12 professional shows a year over the past dozen years (we're season subscribers at The 5th Avenue Theatre and The Paramount) and I've never even seen a designated security person.

So, if you come out here, you shouldn't have a problem. ;)
