Those who know what I collect would never guess - but here is my new EDC, a David Broadwell folder, and I LOVE IT.

I was down to zero folders, finally. Now, at the end of the Blade show, I am back up to three. But this one I plan on carrying.

Thank you, David!

Bob

ps: the other two will follow, separate posts, because of separate stories.

EDIT: I forgot to mention the materials - lightning strike CF and T-Rex damascus

Enjoy it. Are you planning on mostly showing it off or cutting with it? I think carrying, using and playing with a custom knife is extremely fun and rewarding when you aren't too obsessed with keeping it shiny and very valuable.. Its good to give them some wear sometimes when you have others that you keep mint.

Cool Blade.

Thanks for the advice, Jon, but pretty sure I'll be able to figure it all out on my own, LOL!

Best,

Bob

Advice?? I was just trying to say have fun!!

EDIT-
My point is that some people carry knives and don't use them. Some dont carry a custom at all. And I discovered a new joy in knives when I chose one or two NICE customs to use. In the past I don't touch them very much and try to keep them mint and shiny. And when you don't have to worry about that you find alot of pleasure that wasn't there before. So I think its a good move to choose a nice one to carry and/or use.

Beautiful piece Bob - I missed that one at David's table - you must have already snagged it. Enjoy!

that is a hell of a nice knife Bob.

Very cool Bob! I've always been a fan of David's designs, his stuff is just plain wicked!

I like the lightning strike CF - it is really cool stuff!

David has a real flair for design combined with superb execution in both fixed blades and folders

Nice score!

Thanks, Bill. It's certainly not my typical knife purchase. I've added a couple more images to my first post that show off that lightning strike CF a bit better.

that carbon fiber looks kind of prickly, with that metal woven thru it. Does it feel prickly, or is it smooth like regular cf?

Lorien, it's as smooth as any cf I've owned. Has a great look about it, love David's designs, too. My other carry is also carbon fiber, always will be, love how light the stuff is.
