Simple question, what does the MLR in the Broadwell MLR TAC knife stand for. Just curious.

Thanks,

Brad

Hi Brad,

It stands for Mr. Les Robertson.

Actually, David and I came up with MLR several years ago. It stood for Main Line of Resistance.

A Military term for the front line. That term was replaced by FLOT (Forward Line of Troops).

That was later replaced by Line of Departure/Control...LDC.

Now you know where I got the name for the LDC Knives. A lot of people thought it was
Les's Designed Customs. I always liked
Long, Deep and Continous...in reference as to how they cut!.

Thank you!

Pondering, I think MLR may still be the best choice of the 3 to describe the front line.

Met a WWII B17 pilot who told me his squadron's cap manual of arms:

1. Hat on head bill straight forward is "on."

2. Hat turned 45 degrees to the right is "locked."

3. Hat turned 180 degrees with bill to the rear is "I'm ready if you are."

Thanks for the response,

Brad
