Hey All,

A customer of mine, who is the Team Lead for a SWAT org, and now turned knifemaker, teamed up with me to make a new knife for the Blade Show. I had this idea cooking for a while, so I sent Stump (Ken Brock) the sketch to see what he thought about it. He like the concept so off we go. He performed the profiling and drilling of the holes and sent the knives to me for blade bevel grinding and grip serration milling. Back to Ken for heat treat, bead blast, cord wrap and sheath work. Back at me again for logo and final sharpening. What you see is the finished product, which we feel pretty good about:D

The knife is dual edged and chisel ground with the dual style tanto tip. It should allow the knife to penetrate like a dagger with some increased tip strength. The knives were made from 3/16" thick ATS34, with a 4" blade and 8 1/2" oal. The final weight was 5.0 oz!

Thanks for taking a look

Hi, David !!! Are you planning on making any with both sides flat ground ??? Super new design !!!

Hey AC Doc,

Appreciate you bringing the pic in and also for the kind words:D

The knife as designed really hinges on the increased tip strength developed from the dual tanto tip format. With that said, we wanted to leave as much material up front as possible, and with the narrow blade width, the chisel ground version actually provides better edge geometry than a dual ground version would create. This design does not lend itself to utility use, but is one heck of a penetration tool!

We do appreciate the interest though, and we are now working on the BD Mod 2 soon to come;)

I got to handle this rascal and I don't recall ever seeing another knife with the same design features. Yes, the construction was bombproof and it would definitely penetrate the beejeezus outta whatever you poked with it!
Stay Safe,
Clyde

Thanks for all the kind comments guys. This was a fun project to do with David. We are pleased with the way it turned out and I can't wait to start working on our next collab.
