  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

So I'm an amatuer thrower. I have only one "store bought" knife, otherwise I practice with spikes (sharpened 8" nails) or knives I make.

Well, the $15 knife from the sporting goods store lasted a few years with occasional use. It was small, 6" and light. It broke on me today- caught me off guard. The front half stuck, but the handle had other plans. It snapped at the ricasso sending the handle ricocheting back to me.

Ever happen to anyone else?

That is what happens when you buy cheap knives. They do not use the proper steels and have poor heat treat. Buy quality and cry only once.
