I need a sharpening system to use to quickly sharpen knives when I don't have time to soak my stones in water and everything. Is there a bastard version of the Spyderco Sharpmaker that I can get that will just give me a shaving sharp edge in about five minutes? I can only afford about $25. Ideally, just need a base, angle guide and some ceramic/diamond rods kind of setup. Thank you for your time and effort people. Ya'll are amazing at answering questions here and I appreciate it.

Lansky Turn Box. If you insist on something like a Sharpmaker that isn't, you can't get much closer.

Just use the sharpie trick to make sure your hitting the bevel and if your not you may need to prop up one side or change the angle of the blade in your hand to hit the bevel if the preset doesn't work. Or you can just reprofile the knife to hit the bevel properly though that will take longer than 5min to do.

Work Sharp's "Field Sharpener" fits your budget, and gives you a bit more than just a couple of ceramic rods.
