Broke my LM Squirt today... questions!

Broke one side of my pliers off today. Seems like I've had tjis thing in my pocket forever and m disappointed. Question is, will LM customer service do anything for me. Second, till I package it up andpay to ship it, would I be better off just grabbing a newer version off Amazon and have the scissor option also? So, what, like another $20 to just get the new one then??? Thanks!

ETA... A suggestion of another make and model would be ok also. I carry this in the same pocket as my keys and Vic Pioneer.

Send it to Leatherman and they will replace it at no charge. Go to their web site and look up the warranty department, follow the instructions. You won't need a bill of sale. Leatherman warranty is awesome.
 
I did the same thing to my almost new Core several years ago. LM replaced it at no charge in about 6 weeks. In the interim...I bought a Vic Swiss Tool as a bkup.

I have had several dealings with LT Warranty, each time return delivery was one week to 10 days.
 
Broke the spring on the scissors of my squirt. My wife was near their store and took it in. The lady reached into the cabinet and pulled out a new one and handed it to my wife. So for me the turnaround time was about 30 seconds. :p
 
What model Squirt is it? If it is a P4, E4, or S4 they are discontinued and you will most likely get a PS4 as a replacement. Just a heads up if it applies to you.

Agreed about the new ones. They give up too much in exchange for some dinky scissors. If I lost my P4, I would look for another on the secondary market rather than "upgrade" to the current model.

While I prefer the P4 i'm good with the PS4 as well.

Well if you do decide to send it in for warranty expect a PS4 to come back. Thankfully you should be able to find another P4 on EBAY quite easily.
