Man I'm pissed, I snapped the tip off the wharncliffe blade off, a little less than an 1/8 of an inch doing something stupid, luckily I reprofiled it and if you didn't know, you'd never be able to tell. It just sucks 'cause I'll always know. :(.

Oh well, what're ya gonna do? ;)

:barf:Every time you open it you think of what you did. I get it.

it's stronger now ;)

I never think to take pictures, when I break something I get right to making it correct again, Curveman' s photos couldn't been my knife. It looked exactly like that, before and after...

I'm more embarrassed that I did something so stupid as to try to pry something even as light as it was, I know better, then I had the dreaded "tink" and I knew my stupidity quotient had been met for the month. :p

Question is: How did you break the tip off your Wharncliffe Trapper?

Trying to pry open a battery cover on the tv remote, someone spilled something sticky on it and the battery door was stuck so I figured a little putting help to break the sticky loose. Never did it before, usually I use my Leatherman, wish I had gotten it from other pants.

I have done the same thing to my #72 wharnie. I love the fact that GEC grinds their wharncliffe blades so thin at the tip but this does come at a price, they are relatively fragile. Definitely a finesse blade and care must be taken when using otherwise.
