It only took two or three chops with this condor before it snapped. I guess it wasn't designed to chop, but I thought the 1/4 inch thickness could handle it. Does anyone know who I should contact at Condor?

Yup! My guess is an inclusion--even with a bad heat treatment it's so thick at the break I'd expect it to hold up. Contact Rick (phone is best--if you get an answering machine try back in 15 minutes) and he'll get a new one right out to you. :)
