Does anyone besides me break finger nails when trying to open certain SAK tools, especially when in a hurry or if they're stiff? My tip--push the tweezer into the nail nick to pop them open-save your nails. On my alox Pioneer where there is no tweezer, I slipped a small one down between the blades where it's out of the way and barely noticeable when I carry it, and use it for that.

Trimming nails definitely help. Usually I try not to 'drag' the knife out with the nail(when the blade is perpendicular/more than 90deg to your index finger), that's when I felt the most pull on my nails and it might chip.

Instead, I dig my index nail in to get it going, and as soon as the blade leaves the groove, I curl in the index finger and use the thumb to catch the blade. Then the rest of the opening is secured between the index nail and the thumb, and when the blade opens nearly to 90 degree, I know I am pretty much home free.:tranquillity:

Good advice...I'll try that method.
