Don't worry, it isn't as bad as it sounds!!
The other day, my brother and I were throwing around my Robert's Rangers hawk. One good throw into the tree and it must have hit the handle just right...KRRRACKKKK!!!
The handle (with my name and rank so beautifully engraved in it!) broke in two! I was a little upset and was almost as sad (the hawk was a gift and I should have known better than to USE it!) but I did what any good hawk owner would have done...found a new handle!
I had my local NAPA store glue a fiberglass/polymer handle into the eye and seal it in. My father-in-law has all of his tool's handles fixed at NAPA and said that would be the place to go.
Sure enough, tonight I get it back and my new handle is BEAUTIFUL! It is longer than before (20" handle now instead of 16") and it throws a little different (due to handle length) but it is still a beauty!
Thanks again for making such a great product, ATC!!
Jess
BTW, it looks almost like a battle axe now with the longer handle! It is awesome to behold...
