If I ever break a knife, I'd want it to be a Kershaw/ZT--they have the best customer service in the business. If you send this back to KAI, I'm going to bet they send you a brand new knife.

I've got an outcast, and I've heard of the very end of the handle breaking off, but not the whole handle. Hope they send you a new one rather than that Camp 10. I'd rather have the D2.

Damn, how did you do that? Other big blades have skeletonized handles like the Outcast, that's why i've never feared the one I have would break.

What did you do to thin the edge down? The edge came way to thick on mine but d2 grinds pretty slow

why do they even mill it out at that spot? seems like it just weakens it and barely saves any weight

That sucks. Where you chopping when it happened? I hope to avoid your results with my outcast.

Assuming you were chopping and not prying. that should not have happened. I'm sure Kershaw would be able to tell upon inspection. Might be a warranty issue.

They will take care of you, I am sure.

I still dont understand why they chose D2 for a knife this large though:confused:

That's not good. With that being said Kershaw has decent CS so hopefully they can make it right. All in all that handle isn't exactly awe inspiring anyhow.
