Can a main spring on a folder be repaired? I have a nice old Wenger with stag handles that my uncle gave me and the spring on the corkscrew snapped the first time I opened it. It's got more sentimental value than real value so it would be nice if I could have it repaired, but maybe it's better left as is. What are your opinions?

Aside from having somebody make a spring from scratch, you might look around (ebay or the for sale forums for instance) for a similar model for cheap and part it out, I.E., disassemble another knife and swap the spring out of it.
