So as I got out of my car at the phone repair place to ask them about the screen they replaced a month and a half ago, I dropped my phone and cracked the screen, again. I decided that its probably time to just buy a new phone instead of dumping more money into this one. I'm just not sure what I should do. It is a 64gb iphone 6 plus and it still works, there is just damage to the screen. The trade in style companies would only give me $100 and a $20 credit to buy a new phone. Or I could sell it on ebay. I always see non working phones for like $250 but do they ever actually sell? I for one would never buy a broken phone with the hopes of repairing it. What would yall do if you were in my position?

My wife dropped her's, 2 weeks old. I went to Amazon and got a $15 kit that included screen and tool kit. Go to youtube and do a walk through on replacement. I did it the first time through. Beat's a hundred $ from an Apple store.

Yeah I know that you can buy those but I have heard that they can be a little finicky to get right. Also, this was the second major drop it's had so I'm worried there might be some more stuff going on.

I'd fix it. I have an old Samsung (Galaxy S3) in similar condition that I have been toying with replacing the screen or replacing the whole phone. Cracks are near the top, so it is still usable.

For $15 I'd go the rout of fixing it if your thinking of buying a new phone anyway then it's no big deal if you mess it up also it's not that hard I have done a few both screen and digitizer

I'm not sure about those $15 LCDs. I'm not in a position where I can keep spending $20 here and there if the screen doesn't stay working or something else goes bad. The quality OEM style screens are all around $150 so the price would be about the same.

I just put one in my 5s yesterday. I've done a couple but this time I bought an entire front assembly (screen, digitizer, home button, camera, etc) for $10 more. It was worth it to buy the whole assembly and the repair went fine, works great. I have gotten dead screens before though. If it's ATT send me message, I'll give you $100. :)

22, previous to the Note phone I have now I had an S3. I found and ordered a new screen through amazon. Took my time, watched the video on youtube and replaced the screen myself. It worked great and no one was the wiser when I traded it in for the Note.
