I took a khukri out and tried to re-scabbard it and it broke through the side of the scabbard. What do you suggest?

it depends on several things. What side did it break out on? is it a very big break? Is this a user? Are you very good with leatherwork?

If it were me, i'd glue a piece of thick leather over the break and wrap it in electrical tape....but then again i'm lazy and unskilled;)

I had a similar situation (depending on where your break is) resheathing a sirupati. The tolerance on the sheath was so tight that the belly of the blade cut through the leather. It was about a 2+" slash. I put some strong glue in there, wrapped it up tight and let it sit overnight.

Next morning, unwrapped it, gently slid the siru back in. No problems! :D

Put the knife in and out again a couple of times, and (drumroll please) the sheath opened right back up! :grumpy:

Just too tight a tolerance on the thing. I am going to wrap it with some leather, make it look nice, and leave it at that. At least I don't worry about the knife falling out ....

which side? how long of a "break"? Do you mean to say "slice" instead?

Need more info...
