Hey everyone...
I did something stupid:(
I made some absolutely awesome G10 scales for my Fox folding karambit, but I then realized the pocket clip screws thread into the original aluminum scales, instead of the liners. What I did was I drilled the clip holes in the G10 anyways, then tried to tighten the screws directly into the G10.
They got 70% into the G10, then two of them snapped off right at the surface of the G10. Is there anything I can do to get them out and/or attach a clip some other way? If not I guess I could just revert to the aluminum scales, but I really like mine.

Thanks for your advice!

I've heard of makers soaking titanium parts in ferric chloride when the tap breaks in them. The ferric chloride will dissolve the tap. I don't know what the FeCl3 will do to the G10. You could try a test piece or scrap. Muratic acid should dissolve the tap too, but I don't know what it will do the G10.

I've tapped holes in phenolic (Micarta) handles to mount pocket clips. I just drill and tap. The phenolic holds up well. I've bent the clip several times with no damage to the handle. Haven't tried it on G10 yet.

Hey George, do you really need a clip on your knife? I only ask as I remove all the pocket clips on my modern folders and carry them like a traditional folder. Have never liked a pocket clip hanging on my pocket. Seems to be always hanging on something and getting in the way. But that is just me. Worse case scenario would be to make another scale for that side and re tap into the frame and drill slightly larger holes in the G-10 before taping the frame. Not familiar with the particular knife, so don't know if this is a viable option or not. Just hate projects that do not go according to plan. Good luck.

Blessings,

Omar

It's all good guys, I found a solution!
I managed to drill/dremel/hammer the broken screws out without too much damage to the G10, then I just used much larger screws.
Here is the final result:

I would probably do the same, but I have a thing for big knives. They tend to settle at the bottom of my pocket and try to turn horizontal, which is really annoying.

Glad you got it worked out. Good looking knife. "Where there is a will, there is a way".
