Well, I finally received my Broken Skull III, and I am impressed; however, just like a bull-headed, cock-strong teenage boy...., he is challenging the Ol' Man (Lone Star Hunter) for the coveted spot in my right jeans pocket. So, without a micrometer but with excellent eyesight, I made the following observations: Broken Skull (BS / son) is a tad thicker than Lone Star Hunter (LSH / suspected father) without faux stag delrin scales and significantly thinner than LSH with scales. LSH has thicker blade stock. LSH has a blade (cutting surface) that is slightly longer than BS. BS has a significantly thinner but tighter clip. BS is lighter (no kidding) and better balanced. LSH is more comfortable in several different grips. BS is pointier with a narrower clip. Both are as sharp as Gal Gadot in a Wonder Woman costume, but I would give the edge
D) to the BS. In summary..., it looks like the LSH will be paying child support. Both of these knives are worthy of their Texas lineage, and they are MEAN. THEY LOOK MEAN..., THEY FEEL MEAN..., AND, THEY MAKE YOU FEEL MEAN!!! KNOW WHAT I MEAN??? If you don't have either of these, you should pick one up. If you own one and not the other..., buy the other. You won't regret it.
