Got my two today. So much right and has been covered already.

First wrong...pocket clip. Awful and makes one handed put in pocket and removal about impossible. Come on cold steel. It's a major fail. Im going to have to bend it myself and its gonna need major work.

Second wrong....i can catch my finger on the tip of the blade when folded. Its very minor, but still.

Third wrong......price point. At the bladehq mid 40 sale...great super value even with the wrongs. Easy to overlook the wrongs. At 80 bucks.......its harder to overlook. 60+ bucks seems the right proce point.

Okay hammer away.....here comes the old ill take it off your hands and other comments. I still stand by my wrongs i pointed out. So close to about perfect, how can i not point out the wrongs.

That's disappointing. Especially the second "wrong." If the clip is too tight that can usually be fixed by bending it.

Yeah...it has no real room for pocket material, due to its shape. Its typical cold steel. They do so much right but have the wrong person or people designing ocket clips for them.

I never carry any Cold Steel clipped. A big reason why I bought a Broken Skull. I can just carry this one down in my pocket un clipped. It's light and thin, yet big enough to easily find in the pocket. I'll keep the clip on it as a leverage point for my pinky when opening the knife; my little finger hooks the very end of the clip when thumbing it open.

I can also feel the tip when closed, if I press my finger lightly against the end of the handle. But I don't see that as a big issue with this knife. It's because it's a clip point that's as long as it can be for the handle.

I'm glad it was on sale for $45. It is worth more, but I won't feel bad that I got it a bit too cheap. It's not very often you can get a good quality, large, high-performance blade at such a steal. Enjoy the low price now; it not gonna last.

Bladehq did a run of all the colors at that price a week or so ago. Sold out , but who knows if they'll stock more at that price.

The second wrong would be terrible as I have one incoming but I feel at $80 it's still good. This knife outshines the endura in materials, strength, blade to weight ratio, and costs about the same.

I'm actually behind the curve here. What makes the Broken Skull so special?

High end steel, strongest lock on the market, less than 4 ounce weight, with a variety of color options. That's pretty much like, everything someone could want in an EDC, unless they can't carry a knife with a 4 inch blade.

The exposed tip isn't necessarily a hard fix-taking a little off the kicker should drop it into the handle further

^Keep your eye out. Bladehq had a deal on colored talwars. Sold out then had more at the same 60 something price then sold out again. So they may do the broken skulls cheap again.

Jw Bensinger, yes Sir. Its not bad enough to fix it now, but over time from sharpening and reprofiling it will have to be addressed as you mentioned.

The pocket is super tight.

Adjustment was easy. Just use a "gutted" piece of paracord. Slip it under the clip and pull judicially to reduce the tension.

Works great.

My finger doesn't touch the tip unless I'm really wedging and pinching it in there.

If your not purposefully attempting to feel the tip your fine , no safety issues.

First XHP knife.

It has a decent factory edge. It stroped up great, very response.

The edge took damage from chopping tree branches and hacking briar patches.

I stroped the edge on a fine diamond stone a few passes and a then one white ceramic.

Bam!

Screaming sharp.

Doesn't have the edge holding of S30v but is a breeze to sharpen and takes a great edge. It very much pays homage to AUS 8a in that regard. Great steel.

^ great pics! I do agree that the pocket clip is too tight, but i never think the tip is an issue at all. It take a very deliberate effort to get cut by the tip when the blade is closed.
For the factory edge, i think the factory edge are too toothy so create a lot of area for stress fracture, that's why i alway put them through spyderco's fine ceramic stone and strop before starting to use them. It removes the part that might be overheated as well as making the edge much smoother hence more resistance to chipping.
