Broken tip on MT Mini-Socom Elite

Hi guys.
I dropped the knife tip down on concrete and the tip snapped. It seems that this shouldn't happen so easily to 154cm and maybe it had a bad heat treatment. I got this thing in September. I would think that Microtech would replace this without a fee, right? Does anyone have experience with this issue? Thanks.
 
Call Microtech and explain to them what happened. They will probably charge you a small fee, at least that would be my guess.
 
hmmm I dunno, I would read the warranty papers but *still call*
