Broken torsion bar.

My AO scallion stopped coming out super fast so i took it apart and found the Torsion bar is SPLIT in half. Anyone else see this before?

Never had one break on me. Prevention is the best medicine here. Contact Kershaw and have them send you some new ones. If you EDC the knife and/or flip it open endlessly replace the bar whenever it starts to feel sluggish or every 6 months to a year or so. Simple fix + Great CS = you are good to go.:thumbup:

Just email kershaw and the will take care of you. I emailed them because the torison bar in my Blackout broke in half and I had a new on in less than a week.

I had a torsion bar break in a Whirlwind once. One day when I opened it a strange "ping" sound came from the knife and then speed safe assisted opening didn't work anymore. I had carried the knife for several years before it happened.
