My trusty techno, carried exclusively for a year got caught on a tree while in my pocket and the clip snapped, does spyderco replace the clip if you call their customer service?

Like 5$.. I'm willing to bet, from personal experience, if you call them and let them know what happened, they may just send you a clip.

On the bright side, there are much more important things near that location that didn't get caught on a tree. 
Call the customer service number and plead your case. I would not be surprised if they send you one for free. :thumbup:

To purchase a clip kit*for your knife you can call the Spyderco Factory Outlet. We need to ask a few questions to make sure we get you the correct clip for your knife. Clips usually range between $3.95 to $7.95 and Salt H-1 Clips are $11.95* Shipping and Handling for USA is $1.95 and International Shipping and Handling*is $5.00.*

Monday Friday 9 am - 5 pm and Saturday 10 am - 5 pm Mountain Standard Time.
