Any opinions of this knife? I see completely different reviews of it and seems that its overbuilt in some areas and lacking in others (blade thick and sturdy but questionable steel, quality control issues involving the lock, etc).

I like the look of the knife and definitely like the price. Also, anyone modded one for assist opening?

I have one. Good enough for the price. Came sharp.
I put a zip tie through the hole, and now I can easily wave it open.
It actually lays pretty flat in the pocket.

I may pick one up just to see what its like. Looks great. I like wide blades. I would rather have a tops buck but I could buy ten of the bokers for that price.

I have a Magnum Bulldog. I can't say anything negative about it. It's a well built knife, and at a price that is rock bottom. I bought it because I found the design to be interesting, and interesting it is. I don't carry it often as it is not ideal for every day use, which I was aware of when I purchased it. If you think the design is your cup of tea, then I don't think you'll be disappointed with it.

I just bought this knife 30 seconds ago! Chose this knife to bring with me overseas as a a "throw away" knife, in case of customs or relatives that want to "borrow" it forever... The design appealed to me since It is similar to my sniper LPC and I like to carry beefy folders. The steel (440) is a plus over AUS8 knives at that price point. Got mine for less than $15.
