Here is one of 4 sheaths that I had Gary Brommeland make for me. I had him do this old Morseth style sheath for a leather handled L6 fighter of mine. His work is beyond belief.

He also did a Randall style for the same knife as well as two Bagwell style sheaths for a couple Bowies. I will pst pics ASAP. I

If you have Bowie you really love...it deserves one of his sheaths!!

OMG!!!! That is amazingly pretty craftsmanship. Congrats Greg on acquiring that beauty.

This is the Combat style sheath that Gary did. The stone pouch is totally unique.

So for the pic....you can see me and my Speedmaster X-33 in the blade reflection.

These are serious combat tough sheaths! You wont find a more worthy sheath at any price!

Thanks, guys, for all of your kind words regarding my work. I really appreciate the feedback. Thanks!

I quote each job in advance, once I get an idea of what a customer wants. A an unlined Bagwell will generally run around $50-$75. The sheath with the stone pouch was a major pain - I would charge about $250 for it. Without the stone pouch, about $125 -$150. Kydex liners are also available for an additional $25-50.
These price seem high, I know. However, you will get a sheath that is perfect, or it never leaves my shop. The reason that they are so expensive is because of the time involved in designing them and laying out everything to fit properly. If a maker has a knife that they turn out multiple units of, then the design work only needs to be done once. I can make multiple units of a specific sheath for about 30-50% of the prices quoted - less, if we get into serious numbers.

This is very true of all Gary's work...be it holsters, belts, and I can especially attest to the sheaths. The Bagwell style sheaths that he did are perfect. The fit to the blade is pefect. Not too tight, not loose...and the blade breaks away from the sheath just the way it is supposed to for a defensive Bowie.

These are worth every penny.

Gary very nice work and it's nice to see another leather craftsman who understands the value/pricing of his work.

All that is said is true regarding Gary's sheaths. A finely crafted blade deserves a well made sheath and he makes the best I have seen to date. They are the work of a master craftsman and it shows in the finished product.
Don't hesitate to send him a couple of blades to get sheaths made for them, he is a class act and you will get more than your moneys worth!
