I have been working on neck knives off and on. Playing with ideas. Several have cast handles and sheaths of wood. A way to carry a knife decoratively. Small blades, some are more like jewelry, and designed for women. I run into a lot of outdoor women that like to cut stuff!

I usually use 1084 steel, acid etch a design on the blade. Double temper and cryo cold treat. This seems to enhance the properties of a thin carbon blade, less brittle but still good cutting.

I cast copper and bronze at the same time using two crucibles spun at the same time. Controlling flow of each as metals spin in.
