Bronze Ti Screw Colors?

I ordered a set for my 3" XM from GPK and was pretty stoked to install them. They arrived today, but I'm reluctant to keep them. One is brass colored, one is bronze as expected, and one is dark enough to show some copperish overtones in brighter light. The mismatch is going to look terrible. Is this common? Any idea why it would be like this? I would think even screws would display Hinderer level of quality.

I am sorry to hear about your issue. Try giving them a spray of oil, and wipe them off. It just may be how they dried after they came out of the ultrasonic cleaner. If it doesn't work out, I would send them back as well.

Good call Rob. That made a big difference. The brassy one is still a bit lighter, but it's subtle enough to just be natural variation. Problem solved! Thanks.

If you want them darker…I'll anodize anything ti.

Cover postage and I'll do it for ya.

This is the real way to go...I originally bought all of my Hinderer ti hardware in plain and had everything ano'ed together...perfect color match every time.

i really hope not, i re-anodize mine every few weeks when they get all scratched up, if that voids a warranty then its obvious the maker is finding ways to back out of the warranty. if i altered the blade or frame or something like that i can understand but changing the color or touching it up should be allowed to keep the knife looking clean

Guys - Enough. Op's issue has been answered to his satisfaction. Absolutely No Need to start taking it in this direction.

Any questions email or PM me or one of the other Mods in this thread.
