Bronze washers on salt knives

Just noticed my Military 2 salt has bronze washers but my Pacific salt does not. I am wondering how well the bronze washers will hold up if the knife takes a plunge in the ocean? Will they corrode or require disassembly and polishing afterwards or is bronze still relatively robust for this application?

Props for my ski boats (salt water lagoon)in the 90s/2000s used Nibral and some boats use bronze! The FRN Salt uses an integrated boss instead of washers. The pivot bushing setup on the Military line requires washers, Bronze phosphorus should be fine. They will tarnish and discolor but shouldn’t “rust” away with proper care. My son got Military 2 and is an avid saltwater fisherman.. he’ll be a good test subject.

Bronze is gonna be OK underwater.
