Bronze washers -- replace with stainless, OR something else?

I have some folders which originally had bronze washers, but am finding it hard to find the exact replacement. Any thoughts on simply using a similar size but stainless steel, or some type of fiber washers to replace the bronze (missing some washers)?

I actually prefer bronze washers for my replacements.
