Bronze washers

Can someone tell me the advantage of the asymetric washersused in the sebs? I still have a NIB seg from 1997 that works just fine with the original same size washers

theoretically a larger washer would give you a larget surface area, which means more evnly distributed pressure, less apct to devlope blade play ans likely smoother opening.

Do you mean having two different sized washers? I always thought the small one was so the lock bar didn't come in contact with the washer.

The large washer also serves as a stop for the lock bar when the handle is squeezed tight.
