My brother-in-law wanted to try his hand at making a knife, so he designed, and with a little help, forged this one and helped with the heat-treat. He did all the final sanding, and all of the handle work. Pretty much all I did was give him a pointer here and there. Of course, sometimes I would simply tell him........ "Ah Heck, let me show you what I mean".:D

He is as proud as a fat tick on a dog.

Forged 1065
Malee Handle
OAL 10 1/2"
Blade Tip to Handle 5 3/4"

Thanks for lookin'

A fine blade! It will last a long time. What sort of sheath does it get to live in?

Well Frank, that is his next project. He will be introduced to the wonderful world of "Leather Frustration":D

Thanks gang for your comments. I think Scott had a good time making this, and he just may be "hooked".

I wish I had the talent (plus the equipment) to produce a piece as nice as that.

Congrat's to the both of you.

That's a great design for a hunter. It's going to look really good with a little age and a few miles on it.
