Brother laser

There is a good deal on a Brother Laser printer (1435) at my local Staples.

I've read great things about the this printer when new but I've seen a few comments on the net that this printer tends to have problems with the drum as soon as the warranty expires. Print quality also degrades noticeably as it ages.

Is this true? Has anyone had any longer-term experience with this printer?

Is there an online forum that I can post this question as well?
