looking for opinions tips and advice on which one of these knives to go with. I am looking to stay in the $150ish range, and am open to other comparable flipper style options.

Thanks for any help!

craftmanship is good on the bionic but most I've seen the blade leans to one side when closed. Hogue makes a very tight knife , nice feel but tactical looking. BB bionic is much more aesthetically pleasing and cheaper by a few bucks.

Hogue makes very good knives. No experience with Brous, but have heard mixed reviews. I sold my Hogue EX-01 4" because it was just too big as I prefer small folders

No experience with Hogue, but I have a Brous Bionic. There is a lot to like about the Bionic. Well built, decent steel, light, comfortable in hand, good looks. All around, a decent EDC. But...mine is undoubtedly the worst flipper I own. Breaking it off of the detent to flip it is a real pain. I've adjusted, lubed, cleaned, all to no avail. The darn thing is just hard to flip open. You have to put a good bit of wrist flick into the motion to get it to fly open.

JMO.

Thanks folks--good feedback. I think I'm leaning towards the Hogue based on ya'llls input.

The Bionic is the only one of my Brous Blades folders that I dislike due to sharp edges and an uncomfortable flipper. The thinness and looks are great.

My Hogue EX-02 3.4" flipper has a spear point blade and flips great. No faults. However, it's thick.

The bionic is a decent knife but small. Don't know if the price goes to high but you might want to check out the mini division flipper from Broussard Blades. They are incredible!

I just bought a couple of Brous knives off of this forum - which is great by the way.
The man I bought them from is pretty knowledgeable about them.
He said to "just push the flipper like a button". Made a lot of difference for me.
However I was doing it, sometimes it would barely open. Almost never completely without the wrist flick.
When you get it correct, it shoots out like a rocket.
I sure hope this helps. Push just like pushing down a button.

i bought the bionic and i felt like i got ripped off. the knife felt like a 10 dollar gas station/liquor store knife. i could have bought something real nice from benchmade or spyderco for the price like a contego or starmate. the quality was shockingly bad for the price.

I had the same experience with the Bionic. The jimping on the flipper is too aggressive.
