I am thinking about getting a Bionic. I have heard some good and some bad things about the knife. What is your opinion?

i was disappointed with mine. its way overpriced for what you get. the handles feel real cheap, like gas station knife cheap. the flipper action was not smooth. the liner lock looks paper thin. for the price i could have bought something nice from benchmade, spyderco, or zt instead. i wouldnt recommend this knife to anyone, there is way better out there.

Very interesting as this knife just caught my eye today and I was wondering the same thing. It seems that it hasn't been out long enough to generate very many reviews, a few YouTube "unboxings" but not much more than that. I'm curious to see what kind of responses that this thread gets, before I decide to pull the trigger on one.

I'm in the minority, I think, insomuch as I don't dislike it. It has some downsides that are obnoxious, but after a little modification I sort of like mine. I have the basic black normal blade version:

The upside for me is that it's a nice looking little flipper that flips well and I like the blade shape.

The downsides are that it feels cheap and crappy, even if it's not, due to a combination of the materials and the sharp edges left all over the thing. The insides of the scales are sharp and annoying, but the worst part is that some genius decided to put aggressive jimping right where your finger lands when you flip it, making it quite uncomfortable. I ended up sanding the jimping down until it was round enough to be comfortable, at the cost of making that area look heavily worn, and that was enough to make the knife work for me:

Then again, I love flippers and I don't have many nice small ones, so I'm biased.

We started selling Brous Blades recently. I think the Bionic is a pretty sweet knife but I think people are surprised by its size! It is smaller than it seems to appear in pictures. To me it is more of a dress knife or smaller EDC for office carry. With that said the Mini Division Flipper is one of the most awesome knives I have held! It really did blow me away by its design, fit, finish and feel!

Glad I stumbled into this thread. I was dead set on getting a Bionic, but now I think I will handle one first.

As soon as I took it out of the tube and flipped it the first time I knew I was going to sell it. Bad flipper, sharp jimping, and the ergos didn't work for me. Probably one of the most disappointing knives I have ever purchased. For the price you can do MUCH better. YMMV

I handled the prototypes at blade and they were nice but too many people here and other places have ones that need tweaking. No serious issues but plenty of them need tweaking.
