Just received today a brand new Brous Blades Division flipper.
Took few pics for comparison.
First of all – this knife is LARGE. I kinda knew that but still.
It is also bulky in hand, but remarkably light for the size.
Fit and finish are superb, which has been my experience with Jason’s knives.
Flipper action is second to none. I totally get the combination of the flipper size and shape with a calibrated détente, resulting in the blade shooting out like crazy. The only other knife I own or had handled with comparable flipper action and overall smoothness is Kershaw Tilt.
The blade is also the thickest of all the large folders I compared it to, as can be seen on the pics. The tip, however is very thin.
The deep hollow grind is shaving sharp.
The ergonomics are superb. Heard comments somewhere about the pocket clip looking like it might hurt. Rest assured, I can barely feel it in my hand.
Despite the size, the knife hids well in the pocket, although you wan't forget it's there.
The balance is about ¼ behind the flipper, making it a bit handle heavy, which is what I like anyway.
The liners are thick, although due to the share size of the knife, they may not appear so on the pictures.
I must say this thing impresses the heck out of me. Cannot fault a single thing about the knife.

Can't wait to get mine. Jason said it should be shipping in a day or two. Glad to see he added the jimping to the blade spine.

I have a few of Jason's knives and they are all awesome! But this one is too big for me. 4.37" blade, almost 10 inches overall length! Thats a whopper! Kinda disappointed! When I first saw it I was ready to order one but then I saw the dimensions and put the brakes on. Jason make me that knife in the 3.5 inch range please!!

It is a beast, no doubt. Not sure if a smaller knife would feel just as good in hand.
Waiting on reloaded next.

I might have to pull the trigger on this one. I have been looking for a large(r) flipper.

Been carrying it for the last few days. It is fits in the front jean pocket nicely, can barely feel it.
The clip is very well designed - easy to engage, quite grippy while looking very innocuous.
It is also scary sharp and a pleasure to hold in the hand.

Wow that's a beautiful design, how long does it take to receive once ordered?

Btw I want that DLC Tilt so bad, ...the evil twin to my SW. Volt is very cool too, nice pics.

I'll second your impressions. I bought mind at the Blade Show. My preference has been moving toward the larger flippers and this one does not disappoint. This is my first Brous blade and its form-fit-function is equal to others I have costing twice as much.

Sad to say but I have to let it go to cover the cost of buying another (more expensive) knife.

I will say I like this design, Wish I had the scratch for one!

They are both fine folders. Unfortunately they serve simply as eye candy for me. Too much scratch for my knife budget. I'll probably settle for the CRKT Loing Mah. Not as much knife, at a third of the price. A compromise I can live with.

Jason already has resolved this issue, and if you're gonna bring it up, at least get the facts straight, especially if you're gonna post a picture with the name on it. "Poltergeist Works" is a polish maker completely unrelated to Chris Martin of Phantom Steelworks.

I love my Division flipper too! It has a long comfortable handle. It flips smoothly and locks up perfectly. The blade edge came polished and shaving sharp. Fit and finish are perfect.
If you like large folders, This is a knife to own!!
