Just received today a brand new Brous Blades Division flipper.
Took few pics for comparison.
First of all – this knife is LARGE. I kinda knew that but still.
It is also bulky in hand, but remarkably light for the size.
Fit and finish are superb, which has been my experience with Jason’s knives.
Flipper action is second to none. I totally get the combination of the flipper size and shape with a calibrated détente, resulting in the blade shooting out like crazy. The only other knife I own or had handled with comparable flipper action and overall smoothness is Kershaw Tilt.
The blade is also the thickest of all the large folders I compared it to, as can be seen on the pics. The tip, however is very thin.
The deep hollow grind is shaving sharp.
The ergonomics are superb. Heard comments somewhere about the pocket clip looking like it might hurt. Rest assured, I can barely feel it in my hand.
Despite the size, the knife hids well in the pocket, although you wan't forget it's there.
The balance is about ¼ behind the flipper, making it a bit handle heavy, which is what I like anyway.
The liners are thick, although due to the share size of the knife, they may not appear so on the pictures.
I must say this thing impresses the heck out of me. Cannot fault a single thing about the knife.
