Has anyone gotten their hands on one yet? There's very limited YouTube videos on them, all which are overwhelmingly positive. I'm looking for more people's opinions on them as I ordered one a little over a week ago and need something to hold me over until it (eventually) ships :D

Also, does anyone have any clarification on whether it is CPM-D2 or just plain old D2? I've seen it listed as both at this point and am not really sure.

Don't have one, but I do know its just D2:thumbup: (99 percent sure lol)

The satin finished CPM-D2 steel blade features a unique main hollow grind with a flat ground tanto style tip and a thick secondary swedge on each side.

It does also say "• Blade Steel: D2 Tool Steel"

You could send them a message and ask

I had one on order but I canceled it. For a very petty reason but to some including me its enough to where I changed my mind. That is due to the placement of the detent. The detent is placed in a very obvious spot on the blade and the detent ball will create a riding line that will be very apparent. To people who will use the knife its a non issue I would think but if it is to be collected it will develop this mark with only a few flips. I realize it may have been very hard to have a hidden detent area with its design but it was still something I just couldnt go for. Having the line and detent exposed as its opening im fine with. But having that half circle leading to the detent hole visible the even with the blade fully deployed just turned me off. If that wont bother you you should be in for one heck of a knife.

Speak of the devil, because mine arrived today totally unexpected  I think it would behoove Jason to let his customers know more about when their knives will be ready, right now it's just a pay and pray system. A little more contact would go a long way to calm the neurotic people out there like me. My first impression is very good, I immediately like it more than my Southard. It's pretty much what you would expect: rock solid, perfectly centered, smooth as hell, sharp, and not even the slightest bit sticky. My only knock on it so far is the jimping is very sharp, but hopefully that will reduce with time.

PURPLEDC, I did notice the detent wearing on the blade already; it's surely a weird design, but then again this knife is a bit weird in general. The lockface on the blade is the bottom of the flipper. All I know is it works!

Heck yea, if the knife works, that's it.
Wasn't Willumsen involved with this model?

I've got one and its a very big and beefy knife. Quality is top notch and flips like a dream and is very smooth. Crazy crazy jimping that at times is very aggressive. I have been flipping it for over a week and not sure how much edc time it will get b/c it is big and tough to get out of the pocket. I feel for the price you can't come close to getting a knife like this from anywhere. The knife does have a lot of sharp edges and you have to get your thumb ready for it and the knife is pretty unique to look at.

He was. The knife was based on his Perock folder. I got my Reloader a couple weeks ago and it is an impressive knife for the money.

My Reloader is numbered in the low fiftys, and it is a substantial knife. Very solid feel throughout. The blade is very well designed to balance perfectly at the pivot so it flips with little effort. Blade pops hair off the arm. No regrets on spending the money. No plans for carry or use though, as this one is for my collection only, it would be a bit too big for a comfortable EDC in my pocket.

I've had mine for about 2 weeks and love it. Carry it almost everyday and the detent line doesn't bother me at all. This knife replaced my Umnumzaan in carry rotation, no questions asked. Fit, finish and workmanship are first class at any price.

Jason makes awesome, creative, high quality knives with innovative designs. His communication with his customers needs to be improved tremendously.

I've been carrying mine for almost 3 weeks now, great knife! As far as communication from Jason? Hum I asked him in march when the knifves would start shipping, he responded the same day it would be April~May, not sure what everyone was expecting? I've had a Direware on order since August '12 and I haven't heard a thing, and don't expect to hear a thing until the knife is ready to ship.

As far as the Reloader goes, the D2 steel is much shinier then I expected, almost too bright, I would have loved a bit more satin. The flipper is perfect, action is smooth and lockup is vault like! I would have preferred a more subdued gimping on the top spine, being a flipper. The backspacer is perfect, very agg look, the pocket clip is low ride and very effective, mine has the Willumsem logo too, nice touch!

All in all great blade, perfect size for me, I love big beefy knives, daily carry without a problem, I'll be keeping this one!
