That's right FOLDER. I have had my eye on the fixed blade triple threats for a while. I really don't know much about Brous Blades, I like the unique grinds they use. What do you guys know about Brous? Have you heard anything of interest about this new folder?

Jason makes blades that are often very polarizing. He doesn't really follow anything that's conventional, which is actually refreshing to me. There are people that love his work and then others that absolute abhor his stuff. I like some of his designs, but wouldn't touch most of his other stuff. Just not my cup of tea. His machining seems top notch though, and I have no problems with heavily machined knives or parts of knives. All of that said, I don't think he has yet found his own sense of style since his designs, to me at least, are so varied. He's a designer I'm keeping my eye on because he has great potential. He just needs to find his own style. Look at any of the established and well respected custom makers. Their designs are easily recognized if you have a trained eye; they almost always have certain design elements that carry over in all of their knives.

I can see for sure why some people would not care for some of his designs. I have never seen any grinds like the ones he is using, which is great because sometimes knives seem to follow a popular trend and these don't.

Jason has done a great job on all his knives and his first Folder, The Silent Soldier Flipper, did very well. The new Triple Threat Folder is sure to be a hit and we are looking forward to it. We actually have these up for preorder and should be shipping them by October.

I wish I could handle one, I would like to know how thick the various grinds are before laying down that kinda cash. I am sure I could just sell it on to the next person if I didn't like it but that's a lotta work for this lazy dude. The grind towards the tip just looks extremely thick, and the grind in the middle of the blade looks pretty thick also. It does look nice and thin by the handle, but who knows for sure?

On the other hand, while I am not crazy about the blade the G-10 machining is pretty stinkin' epic. Brous' designs are polarizing like Hark said, and this one is definitely no exception.

Been watching him since he first came on the scene a year (couple years?) ago. Back when he was Kut Throat Blades or something like that.

If you like his particular style, go for it.

Personally I think he has ignored cutting geometry (and ergos) entirely in place of style, and cutting geometry matters more than anything else to me.

Also, at the beginning he had notorious heat treat problems (many very knowledgeable knife folks suspected the problem was no heat treat at all....). I would assume that has been resolved.

This guy is young but he have a big potential and I can clearly recognise his designs and his own style.
Go to his website (brousblade) to see his work and learn more about him and his work.
Only a few of his knives are made for pure style. 99 % of the rest is made to be used or even abused.
I have a silent soldier v2 on the way and I ordered it because i think it's a great improvement of the "griffe" design.
He also have a YouTube channel to present his new creation.
