I've had this for a few days now and really like it so far. Fit and finish is amazing. Blade is perfectly centered. It has a strong detent that allows the blade to fly out when you hit the flipper. It's a big knife but it is really light for its size, I think it's 5.3oz. Its fairly thin and carries good on the deep carry clip. I couldn't get 550 cord, even gutted, through the lanyard hole so had to go with some smaller stuff. It has internal stop pins, cleans up the back of the knife so all you see is the two stand offs, you can see them on the picture of the lock up. Lock up is super early, ealier than any knife I have ever had. The carbon fiber handle is smooth and could be slippery but it isn't a worry with the shape of the handle and flipper it really locks in your hand for both forward and reverse grip. Here are some pictures.

It's definitely big. With all the titanium and carbon fiber on it you hardly notice it in your pocket. It isn't one to pull out and use in front of everyone it would definitely grab some looks.

With that early lockup, I'd give it a spine whack to make sure it holds.

I'm not to worried about it with the flipper acting as a finger guard. All the others I've seen are just as early and haven't heard if anyone having issues.

Im a HUGE fan of Jason's work and own 2 of his knives, one being #7 Division Flipper (Satin Blade).

Ive tested the early lock up and the blade does not budge a bit, just plain rock solid.

Yes its already been discussed multiple times about Jakub's design being very similar, but def not identical to Jason's.

Both Jason and Jakub spoke and worked everything out, so there are no hard feelings in any way.

The Haunter from Poltergeist Works is a awesome knife as well but like I said, is NOT identical to the Division.

For anyone who hasnt tried any of Jason's knives def needs to try one and experience just how awesome his work is.

Agreed 100%

What knife do you guys think he stole the design from? I have a Division and although rather large i think Jason makes one hell of a knife!!

Its from a knife called "haunter" from poltergeist works.

This may or may not be true, but I've also "heard" he's "borrowed" a few of their other designs as well.
I don't follow his work so I wouldn't be able to point them out.

There's supposedly a thread all about this on the green forum.

His knives don't do it for me so I haven't looked into this or seen the thread.
This is just what I heard. Don't kill the messenger. Maybe someone who's looked into this can confirm?

The lock looks a little scary, you might want to wear Kevlar gloves before doing anything serious with that knife.

I also was going to say the knife is a design copy (:thumbdn:) but I noticed it's been said.

It has also been said before... many times, That the two knifemakers have talked about this, and everything is peachy keen... So we can all stop kicking this dead horse already.

I am glad things are ok... Jason Brous knives have superb fit and finish...

Jakob W. has some great designs coming out... several with a licensed Spyderco 'round hole' for opening...

from my point of view, the 'Haunter' has a somewhat similar profile - but.... wait... it is a G-10 handled fixed blade... not a flipper w/carbon fiber etc...
