I've recently ordered a brous silent soldier framelock. I was told only 200 were made. Does this mean there are only 200 of the particular configuration I'm getting or does it mean he only made 200 framelock silent soldiers period?

Couldn't one just ask him? I would think his operation isn't so big that he couldn't answer a question from a customer, especially this early in his career.

Pretty sure it's 200 of each variant, of which there are several.
Also, I believe there was a run of these a little while back.

Pretty sure it's just 1 of 200 in this particular style, in this particular run.

He's pretty tough to get ahold of. I bought a T4 and emailed him to ask a simple question. One week and no reply so far. Hopefully I don't have any issues and need warranty service...

I would pick up the phone rather than rely on an email. For the most part if something is not important or requires immediate response an email is alright. But when it comes to something even remotely important, I always call and get the information I need. Another thing, it's the holidays so it's tough to say what Jason is doing.

It's certainly not important enough to call. A week seems a little long to respond. I'm not a knifemaker though so I have no idea how busy he is.

Pretty much every knife that Brous Blades makes is limited and many of them in a way are like midtechs because he is very hands on. 200 would refer to only 200 of that variation as I sure. If I am not correct and you know for sure then please correct me.

Some folks seem to be all about Facebook these days and respond quickly to that. Just a thought if you happen to use Facebook or other social media. :)

I appreciate the input, that's kind of what I'm thinking that it's 200 of each variant...mine is a satin blade so I'm assuming there are also 200 acid washed and 200 all black.
