Brous or Strider?

I know the reputation of SNG's but was wondering what the thoughts are on the Brous line specifically... seems like the Brous customs can be had for a few bucks more than an SNG and the semi-customs can be had for a little less.

Was looking at the Strife vs the SNG specifically, but the Sinner vs the SMF could be up for discussion as well.

Apples to oranges here?
Is Brous limited by D2 only vs a few different types of steel choices from Strider?
Is a Brous more of a show piece than an EDC?
Anyone lucky enough to own both that would like to chime in on likes and dislikes?

Thanks!

I've had both and loved both, but I still have my SnG and have sold/traded my Brous knives. Just my two cents.

Have a new SNG in my hand right now, I like it. But I also have a Brous VR-71 that I like as well. They cost about the same about 400. The VR-71 has ALOT more cutting edge than the SNG because of the choil. Pluses to each are as follows:

Brous:
Carbon Fiber
Flipper (fast deployment)
larger cutting edge
limited edition

SNG:
S30V Stainless
Ti Frame Lock
Beefy Pivot

If you would like I can post a side by side pic?

I held off a long time because of the reputation but I finally got a SnG and it is sweet. Not as much cutting edge but I don't care because I love the choil.:D

There is something about an SnG and Strider in general that says USE ME. I don't know if I would use any Brous like I do the SnG.

Im currently aiming for an SNG in PD1... i like the "different" look of the Brous blades, but I just cant picture using one as an edc. Also, I figured PD1 is a step above D2.

I'll never own a Strider until they start making leftys again. Way too expensive to get one now. I do have a Brous Reloader and even though it is on the thick side I love carrying it. It's a regular part of my EDC rotation. I doubt you can really go wrong with either brand. The Turpin designed Strife looks like a real winner too.
