I recently got a used Brous Silent Soldier Flipper. I noticed slight snag when unlocking the blade. It feels like something binds up in the middle of the locking action when the blade is not perfectly extended the the lock bar is not completely pressed down. I took the knife apart and I noticed a ramp/scratch/chip in the lock bar. Here are some pics. Is this normal? Do I need to send it in for service?

Unless you are a knifemaker, there is little you can do to fix the issue without wrecking the piece further. Why not contact Jason first, then show some before and after stellar customer service? Just a thought.

I didn't want to bother him if it was normal for the knife. But I guess I will email him.

There's gonna be a mini division flipper! Where is the line?! Please tell me more. Or send me to where I can find more info.

BTW, I sent Jason an email.

Wanting your knife to function and lock up properly is never a bother. I've emailed with Jason a lot over the last year. He's a good guy, just too busy to see straight some days. He will get your knife taken care of and made good as new.

He hinted at it in a comment on a solosknifereviews vid just the other day. Thats about all I have seen as far as a hint. Follow him on instagram as that is where he posts most of his "in the works" projects

Thanks. I'll check out the vid.

Instagram seems like the app to have for knife nuts. I need to get on it.
