Brown Cortex - Wow!

Mine is the same spec except with a carbon fiber inlay, excellent knife all around and one of my favorites in my collection. Craig does excellent work and both Cortex (Cortices?) I've had were two of the nicest knives I've ever had the pleasure of owning. My Mini FSD is out for delivery today and I can't wait to get home and get my hands on Craig's latest design.

Nice. I am considering a v2 model. How is the detent? I heard it is very weak.

I had the pleasure of owning a V1 and a V2 at the same time and chose to keep the V1 and sell the V2. This mostly came down to a preference in configuration. The V2 has a slightly shorter pocket clip and pivot collars, but I think those are the only differences. My V2 did have a lighter detent than the V1 but it wasn't an issue because the action is so incredibly smooth. I kept the V1 pretty much solely because I prefer the blade cutout to the fuller...strongly considered doing a blade swap and keeping the green one, I miss it sometimes.

Thank you for sharing. I can get over a weak detent as long as the action is snappy and has great acoustics.
