Brownell's Bake-on Teflon coating

Quick question. Have any of you guys used this stuff on a knife? If so, how did it turn out?

Thanks
Jared

Broken promises don't upset me. I just think, why did they believe me?

I hope that after I die, people will say of me: "That guy sure owed me a lot of money."

Thanks Rob! What, then, do you recommend for a easy to apply at home coat that IS tough?

Tool Black
is a cold dip that is
tough as nails it
is the same stuff they put
on carbon dies,it is only good
for carbon blades,you can
get it from MSC or Travers
Rickey Fowler uses on his O1
knives, you may want to give it a try
it oxidizes the blade it is not a baked on finish so it will stand up to alot

I have used the Brownells Teflon stuff before with the same results as Rob.. Its OK for a rifle but knives are another story. I use the powder coat system from http://www/eastwoodco.com now.. Its much tougher than the Teflon but will scratch over time.. The setup costs about $150 and it very easy to use.. Powder coating is popular with 4X4, Hot Rod, and Motorcycle guys for coating suspension parts etc.. Hope this helps..

You could try Gun-Kote from kgproducts.net...

Spray it on with an airbrush and bake in your oven at 300 degrees...
