The Ontario is a good deal for only $60. It's thick, sturdy, heavy, and functional. -but to compair it to the Browning..... well their really is no compairison.

The Comp knife is so much better in every way. Better look, feel, ballance, the shape, geometry of the blade is far superior for slicing and chopping. The knife has a true visible full tang, with no sharp angles to weaken it durring abuses like battoning. The handle scales are much nicer too, though they do benefit from a little extra shaping with some sandpaper.

The steels used are very similar in strength and edge retension.

The edge that the Ontario comes with is crap, and would need some major reprofiling. It is also saber ground which isn't all that great for cutting/chopping performance, though I suppose it might make for a better improvised prybar. :) ...My Browning came impressively shaving sharp, though I chose to thin out that edge too.

I would say they are both about as good as you can get for their respective prices, but the extra money you pay for the comp knife gets you a much better knife.

+1 for the Browning and it's a much better chopper, I would even say that it's and amazing chopper!!!!

If your main concern is going to be cutting ability, then the Browning is the choice. If you need a good multi-purpose sharpened pry bar type knife, then the Ontario is the one.
