I've been looking for a large blade to replace my long lost CS carbonV Trailmaster.I was ready to order the Browning when the rep told me it is made in Taiwan.Maby I'm old school about made in China or Taiwan knives, but it sort of turned me off.

Please convince me that Taiwan makes good knives or suggest something of similar style and price that is US made.My main concern is quality.

Thanks for any help
Randy

Hey Randy, I'm not sure if I can convince you, but I only read positive statements on this knife. Sad to hear that your Carbon V blade is gone.
Have a look in this thread for example (Post #29), there are several people out there who are concerned about the quality of the knife. For the price it seems to be a really inexpensive but great chopping tool.
I don't own one of these, but it is definitely on top of my list. It's a little more expensive over here, but who cares, I want this knife!:D

I am old school like you, but I handled one, and it is a great knife in every way. It is not inferior in the quality department. The fit and finish was world class.

Thanks for the input and the links, they helped a lot.
I think I will order one from A.G.Russel.At least I won't have any problems if I get one that missed quality controll.
