I picked up a Browning filet knife from Bass Pro. 440 steel. Made in China. Bubble wraped so I couldnt inspect it . Got the thing home and the blade was crooked. It had a big noticeable curve in it. I took it back and got another one. Same thing. Its useless as a fillet knife. Ill toss it in a kitchen drawer and slice up mushrooms with it. Both knives were bent exactly the same. Could that be part of the design? I cant imagine filleting a bass with a crooked knife.

There are some offset fillet knives out there. I don't know who all makes them
