Per our conversation...here is the thread.

I bought this knife because of the blade. It's VG-10 made by MCUSTA (Seki, Japan). This blade gets razor sharp and is so easy to take care of. It has a decent pocket clip and anodized aluminum handles. The action is silky smooth.

This knife has one HUGE problem...the liner lock sucks. A gentle spine whack will cause the lock to fail.

The project, should you choose to accept it (Mission Impossible reference ) is to, replace the anodized scales with G11 and make the lock more secure. Here are some pics.

That looks like a winner for an STR frame lock conversion to me.

I'd suggest reading post number one in my pocket clip thread and maybe post number two in my "What I do" thread and mailing it to me if you want to proceed.

I will knock it out as ordered for you and think that is very possible. Looks like one that could turn around for you and become a much loved EDC. I rather like the blade shape and the grind. Actually the clip isn't bad either now that I study it some.
