A fellow brought me a Browning knife to clean, very well loved, blade almost gone through repeated sharpenings. Looks to be a clip point skinner, stamped "Browning USA", no other markings. Probably a 3" blade when new. Serrations on top. Thong tube hole, but no handle, as there are no pins, and the fit of the original sheath leads me to think it never had a handle. Looped leather strap for belt. Probably pre-1950, maybe earlier. Checked the Browning web site, nothing even remotely similar. Anyone have any ideas?

Not pre-1950, being that

"Browning knives have taken care of skinning and dressing game and thousands of other jobs for nearly 40 years. "
