Hello everyone, i am a huge fan of blades, and i am new to bladeforums.com. Anyway, i recently bought a Browning x28 assisted opening knife. It is sharp as hell, and is overall good and sturdy. Just wanted to know your oppinions and experiences with Browning :D

Welcome to BladeForums. :)

Brownings can be hit and miss, but two of my favorite knives are Brownings . . . the Ice Storm (Mcusta OEM) and the Crowell Barker Competition Knife. The Ice Storm has been discontinued for a long time but the Crowell Barker Comp Knife is still available.

Street price is around $100 give or take. They're really a great blade for the money.

Browning, like many gun brands, i'm fairly certain outsources their name and logo to multiple different manufacturers to stamp their name sake onto the knives, made from china to usa, stamped in everything from 5and 8cr, 440a-c, 420hc to 154cm, from leading to a lot of their hit and miss reputation... Who's making the knife, something I've always wondered about browning Knives...

I love the logo, and have no quarrels with the company; business is business: I've actually even gifted out their Chinese made 440a prisms quite a few times as a basic cheap knife to non-knife enthusiasts, and to date without one complaint...

The usa made Black Label Arbitrator in 154cm I've had my eye one for a while now, love the looks of it, but can't bring myself to pull the trigger (yet), as I don't know enough about it... (Anyone with info?)

Definitely glad to hear you got a hit with yours and are enjoying it... Be a shame if it was a miss, it is a gorgeous knife design, I'm digging it...
