I was perusing Cabela's catalog
( www.Cabelas.com ) in the "knife"
section ( where else?;)) and came
upon the Browning Piranha Pro series; I was particularly impressed
with the "chisel point" ( READ : TANTO ) point blade with partial serrations & a choice of G-10 or
Carbon Fiber handles for $59.95!
Does anyone have any experience with these?

What say the augerers?

I used to have one. It was my first "tactical" knife. Not a bad knife, but it had one weakness. The blade "stop" pin isn't actually a pin, but a sleave with a ti screw on each side. Therefore, if you like to "flick" your knives, the screws will bend and the blade will have vertical play. Easy enough to fix, just turn the screws a touch to orient the "bend" in the opposite direction. Otherwise, it's quite nice, especially for the price you quote.

I imagine the stop "pin" will also bend under severe use, not just flicking.
