Jazz great Dave Brubeck has passed away at age 92. He gave us many years of fine enjoyment ! Thanks Dave !!

I don't remember any of his albums specifically, but I remember that my Mom had a couple of his vinyl records way back in the day. We only probably had 5-6 albums so I listened to it quite a lot. It was very good stuff from what I recall.

Weird. I was just listening to Take Five on youtube last night. I'm not even a huge jazz fan, but I had the urge to hear that particular tune last night. RIP, Dave. :(

I didn't post Take Five because Brubeck contributed very little to that song. Here's another one of his, though:

Blue Rondo a la Turk a favorite of mine.
A sad day for Brubeck fans and jazz fans in general. Age makes his passing inevitable but because of his artistry he will never be "gone".

This is Brubeck in a movie made in 1962:

Take Five works for me, esp when it's this nice.
