Bruce, my friend, won BEST FIGHTER at the 28th annual OKCA show!!!

It was one of his MS test knives, and it's FANTASTIC!!!

I offered to take it back to the grinders at the Tru-Grit booth and shape it up for Bruce, but for some reason he didn't think that was a swimming idea.

You should all see his test dagger...it is one of the very best I've ever seen.

Hopefully we'll see a picture of these knives in June??? ;)

I have to agree with nick here, that dagger is awesome even though it is still unfinished.
Bruce, when you get it done you should post some pictures.
 
The two MS knives Bruce had at the show are two of the best knives I've ever seen. The dagger has to be held and seen with your own eyes to be fully appreciated.

Bruce, please post pictures.

Thanks Nick! Its good to have friends in the knife world. Thanks Guys for the kind words and to Roger for posting the picture. I now have a digital camera but still cant seem to post. Anyway here are some details if you are interested.

Cannister damascus
steels: 1084, 15n20, pure nickel sheet and bar, 1084powder, 4600Epowder. The main & back edges are forge welded on 1075

full flat grind
blade length: 11.75"
overall 16.75"
handle is sambar stag (taper made into scales)
one piece handle frame and pommel is same steel as the blade.
the fittings are of 1018 (mild steel) and are textured
the finish is hand rubbed to 2000 and given a hot blueing treatment.
